The Camp Broadway Kids, a 60-member musical theatre ensemble, will perform a song and dance combination with The New York Pops orchestra onstage at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Camp Broadway’s Artistic Director, Tony Parise, has created special choreography for this unique engagement.
Camp Broadway is pleased to announce its 6th appearance at Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops! This program will be held April 27 – 29 in New York City. The Camp Broadway Kids will perform with an all-star line-up as part of The New York Pops Spring Gala to be held on Monday, April 29, 2013. The package includes: two days of rehearsal under the direction of Camp Broadway’s Artistic Director, Tony Parise, Carnegie Hall orchestra rehearsal, meet and greet with special guests, lunch and snacks on rehearsal days, Camp Broadway t-shirts and giveaways, and costume by Broadway Costume Designer. Tuition: $525.

Does Camp Broadway have access to special hotel rates or other travel planning tools?
Camp Broadway has not yet completed negotiating discount hotel rates for our 2013 programs. We will email the families of Cast Members once we have more information on travel tools so that you may take advantage of any special offers associated with Camp Broadway’s programs.
When should we plan to arrive in New York City?
Camp Broadway recommends travelling the day before the first scheduled rehearsal which will be begin in the morning. Attendance at all activities and rehearsals is mandatory.
What should my Cast Member wear to rehearsal?
At registration in New York City, your Cast Member will be given two Camp Broadway t-shirts. Program participants are required to wear a Camp Broadway t-shirt at all rehearsals. Additional shirts may be purchased in New York City on-site at registration. All clothing should be comfortable and non-constricting dance clothes. Any shorts worn must be of a length to reach mid-thigh. You may choose sneakers or soft-soled dance shoes for footwear. It’s recommended Cast Members rehearse in the footwear they will be wearing in the performance. Jeans, flip-flops, sandals or platform shoes may not be worn.
What will Cast Members wear in the concert?
Cast Members will be provided with a costume to wear during the concert with the exception of footwear, which you will be asked to provide for your Cast Member. This information will be sent to Cast Member families as soon as the costume design is finalized. This costume will be theirs to keep. The price of the costume is covered in the program fee.
Who signs out my Cast Member at the end of the day?
Any adult picking up your Cast Member at the end of rehearsals or performances must be indicated on the form you completed when registering for this event. If you wish to add to this list, you must do so in writing. Once the program has begun this can be done by completing a form on site at registration, If you would like to add to this list prior to the start of the program you can do so by emailing Programs Coordinator Sunny Naughton at sunny@campbroadway.com Requests for additions to this list made by phone or voicemail will not be honored at anytime.
Can my Cast Member leave Camp Broadway on his or her own?
If you give your Cast Member permission to leave Camp Broadway rehearsals and performances on his or her own, you must indicate this on the form you completed when registering for this event. If you choose to grant this permission after registering, you must do so in writing. Once the program has begun this can be done by completing a form on site at registration, If you would like to add to this list prior to the start of the program you can do so by emailing Programs Coordinator Sunny Naughton at sunny@campbroadway.com Requests made by phone or voicemail will not be honored at anytime.
Can I request to place my Cast Member in a group with their friend or sibling?
Due to the nature of this program, groups are composed based on many casting variables. Therefore, we cannot accept requests for group placement.
Will parents be able to watch rehearsals?
Due to space constraints, parents are not permitted to watch rehearsals.
Do I purchase tickets to the New York Pops Spring Gala through Camp Broadway?
No, Camp Broadway does not manage ticketing for this event. Tickets will only be available through the Carnegie Hall Box Office. Once tickets for the event have been put on sale to the public, Camp Broadway will share any information we receive with Cast Members via email.
Can I get a letter from Camp Broadway describing the reason for my Cast Member’s absence from School?
Yes. Once cast in the program, Camp Broadway will provide you a school excuse letter.
